Client: Dudley Doodle Books
Working closely with a new independent children’s book publisher, Dudley Doodle Books, to help design and develop their debut picture book was really rewarding – definitely one of our favourite kinds of project! Liaising closely with the author, we played around with the text to create interesting and visually engaging picture book layouts, before briefing up-and-coming illustrator Emily Hamilton. The story plays heavily on the contrast between the daily mundane and the imagination of a little girl looking for a bit of excitement, and so we wanted to illustrations to reflect this. The result is a heart-warming, beautifully-illustrated, high-quality picture book, produced in the UK from the print-ready files we supplied.
